Who exactly is Lou Pizzuti?
  • I am the husband (since 19 July 1986) of a beautiful, long-suffering wife and father of a sweet, Superman-loving, teenage daughter
  • I am Byzantine Catholic, a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church
  • I am a lay member of the Fraternities of St. Dominic (formerly called the Third Order), having made temporary profession on 11 June 2006 (Trinity Sunday according to the Roman Calendar, All Saints Sunday according to the Byzantine Calendar). So, naturally, I am a man of prayer (or, at least, I try).
  • I am a former officer in the Knights of Columbus. I am currently in the process of severing ties with the order due to the decision reported in this article. The order has capitulated to the world, and I can no longer be a part of it. This is not a reflection the fine men who have served, and continue to serve, as Knights; rather, the action was on the part of the Supreme Council, and it is therefore the Supreme Council which has capitulated.
  • I am Arberesh, an Italo-Albanian. Accordingly, I host two related web-sites, www.arberesh.net and www.arberia.us. You may see a portion of the 2008 Paschal Celebration in Lungro, Calabria
  • I am a Knight of the Immaculata.
  • I am an author.
  • I am a composer.

Interested in praying the Divine Office?
  • The Agpeya is the Coptic Office.
  • For the Byzantine Office, there are a number of options
  • Liturgy of the Hours - the Modern Roman Office
  • The Roman Breviary (pre-Vatican II Office) is also available.
But be warned, they're not too fond of Catholics who accept the authority of the Second Vatican Council (sadly, when John Paul the Great passed away, they referred to him as the Leader of the Novus Ordo Cult)
  • The Mozarabic Breviary, according to the rule of Blessed Isidore
  • The Anglican Breviary is available for purchase. It is, in large part, a translation of the Roman Breviary, with additions from the Sarum and Dominican traditions.
  • Lancelot Andrewes Press has republished the Monastic Diurnal, which includes the day hours according to the Pre-Vatican II Benedictine usage.
